After suffering a stroke, activities of daily living, such as getting dressed in the morning, may become significantly more difficult.
One thing to remember with a disability is that even the smallest things can make a world of difference for your daily routine. One of those small things are our zipper rings. Zipper rings are rings, usually around an inch in diameter, that attach in some way to the zipper handle of your clothes, allowing you to slip your finger through and pull without gripping.
Something as simple and affordable as a pack of zipper rings can mean the difference between being able to dress independently and not being able to.
Zippers a just plain annoying!
The fact is, pulling a zipper is hard for anyone to do. Who hasn’t had trouble getting a zipper to work the right way at some point in their lives? It has probably happened several times to most of us. It is especially difficult for people who have had a stroke, because stroke often causes partial paralyses or other problems with muscle movement.
Make zipping clothes much less annoying!
One option for zipper rings is the Zip Grips Washable Zipper Rings. These come in a pack of six rings made of a soft plastic that is machine-washable, meaning there is no need to remove these handy little devices when you do laundry. These rings are one inch in diameter.
Another option is our Clear Zipper Pulls, which you might prefer if you are specifically interested in having a less noticeable zipper ring, perhaps for formal events. These nylon loops can be tucked away after use and are rather difficult to even notice. They are much thinner than the other zipper pulls, are machine-washable and come in a pack of three.
